Kymmenkieli

Introduction

Kymmenkieli is a band that gets your feet tapping with its swinging traditional music. This Helsinki-based folk music duo plays both Finnish and Nordic folk music, and they also incorporate plenty of their own compositions that are inspired by tradition. Both musicians study folk music at the Sibelius Academy of the University of the Arts Helsinki, and they are united by a particular interest in dance music and improvisation, as well as a passion for creating engaging contemporary folk music.
