Introduction

We are TATAKI, the name inspired by the Japanese word for “strike”, signifying our use of robust and powerful percussion techniques to showcase our music. Our members hail from Taiwan, Finland, and Chile, united by our profound interest in Japanese culture.

Our ensemble features a fusion of instruments that include the tsugaru shamisen, bass, and drums, crafting a rich tapestry of sound that bridges traditional and modern musical landscapes. We specialize in blending traditional Japanese folk melodies with elements of rock and pop music, infusing our work with various languages and unique arrangements to create a plethora of original compositions.
