Postel Lepe Duo – The Cocktail Kings

Introduction

A Californian trumpet player and a Mexican guitarist take their listeners on a trip through the history of jazz. Trumpet player Rafa Postel’s sophisticated and creative play harmonises with guitarist Hector Lepe’s swinging and stylish guitar playing. The ensemble has songs from swing to cool jazz from the west coast. The trumpet player’s skilful use of mutes makes the duo suitable for a concert or background music for a dinner. Both musicians are Master’s degree students at the Sibelius Academy of Uniarts Helsinki.
